then entertained of publishing anew edition of Dr . Robertson ' s 4 C Attempt to explain the Words Reason , &e . " and to an application which he made to the Author of the History of Taunton , to draw up a Memoir of the Doctor , to prefix to his tract * The Memoir was composed : but the design wasdropt , and the Memoir mislaid or lost ; which ha ^ obliged the writer of it to draw it up anew , and he has been able to make some additions to it .
