guage do men hold respecting a subject of such awful moment ? Can they Jreely say with Christ , John xvi 1 , 3 ? " And this is eternal life , that they might know
thee , ( the father , ) the only true God . and Jesus Christ whom thou
hast sent / ' Do they not pronounce as impious those who acknowledge the father as the only true Gorf , and Jesus Christ as the sent of God ? Do they ever represent this knowledge as eternal life ? Let them seriously ask , " What do we say , and what liath Christ said on this subject
in an address to his father , before whom all reserve was unnecessary ?""
