against the Trinitarian doctrine and worship , published thfc 31 st of December 1800 , the last day of the late century . I confirmed this protest in a farewell address to the people of Winchester , published also in the Winchester
Gazette of the 20 th of May 1801 . My next settlement was at Northumberland Town in this state , \ Nfhere after having resided near seven months , I began to pj-each , and continued to do so ,
generally once a fortnight , for the space of more than four years , viz . from Ghristmas-day J 801 to February 1806 , without con cealing or dissembling my sentiments ; though I did not there
recite these Dissertations . I hereby express my grateful acknowledgments to the good people of Noi > thumberland and that neighbourhood , for the candour and
attertion with which they heard me , frfcm first to last . My good wishes will ever attend them , and xily prayers be offered up in their behalf to the heavenly Father in the name of Christ . I am
indebted to that place for several subscriptions to these Dissertations , for which I return ^ thanks . While I resided at Northumberland I composed the fbllovving pieces .
