A reduction may be made in certain cases : as where the curate is licensed to serve another parish ; or where the incumbent is disabled through age or sickness ; or where any peculiar hardship or
inconvenience would , in the judgment of the bishop , arise from enforcing the full amount . But those special reasons must always be set forth in the curate ' s license .
