we tati « ufeer by our own exertions , or through the medium of the Monthly Repository , raise the other one hundred and twenty-three pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence .
IVe cannot close this statement , without returning otir most sincere thanks to those friends who have so liberally come forward in our behalf , since the last time our case appeared in the Monthly Repository , wjjicb amounts to the sum of five pounds fire shillings . The members of our church have since
entered into a subscription , to raise the sum of twenty pounds this year , so that there will remain a debt upon the chapel to the amount of ninety-eight pounds twelve shillings and sixpence . We hope , after reading the history of
this Church , and this statement , that the friends of truth , of righteousness , and of nncomtpted Christianity , will assist us in this undertaking , which we conceive to be of God . Donations however small will be

Th «* next qnartei ^ y meeting was appointed to b £ held at Wick aud Cottage , Oiatnorgfansbire , Bt which meeting the subject of the supposed two natures of Christ , was proposed for discussion . Th « quarterly meeting- of the Unitarians in South Wales was held at Wick ,
Glamorganshire , on the 25 th and 26 th of March , 1818 . When seven ministers arrived at Wick in the evening-of the 26 th , they were siirprised at finding 1 that no meeting had been published for that evening , and that the minister of the place ,
Mr . E . lloyd , was not there : and the members of the congreg'atioii were no less surprised at seeing so many ministers fog * e ther com ing' u n e x p ec ted I y to v is i t them - They expected only Mr . Lloyd and one more about LO or 11 o ' clock of the 5 i 6 th .
However , they sent about , and a good congregation assembled at 6 o ' clock , tvhen Mr . J . Davies ., of Carmarthen , preached from Acts v . 42 , and Mr . David John , of St . Clear ' s , from John v . 30 . At 11 b ^ clock , the 26 th , Mr . B . Philli p »^ f

The subject of the supposed two natures of Christ was then proposed for disctis *! on , when Mr . Evans , of Aberdare , Mr . Philips , ¦ •¦ cif ' St . Clear ' s , and Mr . James , of Brifl ^ eiid , spoke ag * ainst the doctrine , stating that it appeared to them after diliffent inquiry unscriptural , inatioiial and
ini-possible , Theu an elderly member of the congregation observed , that the birth and death of Christ were very different from those of Moses , and appeared to Indicate superior nature . This observation induced those that spoke hefoie to explain those circumstances , at seme length . Upon that , the following texts . viz . 1 Car . xr .
