of a Bill to relieve Dissenters , fronn the necessity of conformingto the ? marriage service of the Church off England , contributing in any way to ) the support of a Church ,, the doc--trines of which they do not believe ,, and from all other grievances , of which as Dissenters they have just reason to complain . ___
That this Meeting deeply sympathizes in the circumstances which have occasioned the absence of its highly revered friend , the Rev . Russell Scott , the Secretary and Treasurer of the Southern Unitarian Fund Society ; that it expresses its heartfelt gratitude to him for the zeal and ability with which he has for so many years conducted the affairs of the Society , and advocated the cause of Unitariamsm : and that
it earnestly requests him tp continue in office as Secretary during the year ensuing . The proceedings of the day were such as to give a pleasing impression of the zeal and harmony-which have distinguished the congregation at Wareham in its long and arduous
struggle with religious bigotry and error , aind in its unassisted and praiseworthy erection of a Temple for the worship of ' the one only living and true Qod . ' It is further to be hoped that they will afford an additional stimulus to all present to proceed in the good work of promoting the
genuine knowledge of the Scriptures , and the practice of piety a , nd virtue .
