ALL MAY BE CURED !! BY _IIOLLOWAY'S _OINTMENT . FIFTY ULCERS CURED IN SIX WEEKS . EX TRACT of a Letter from John Martin , Esq ., Chronicle Office , Tobago , West Indies : — February 4 th , 1 S 45 . To Professor Holloway . Sir , —I beg to inform you that the inhabitants of this island , especially those who cannot anbrd to employ medical gentlemen , are very anxious of having your astonishing medicines within tlieir reach , from the immense benefits some of them have derived from their use , as they have been found here , in several cases , to cure sores and ulcers of the most malignant and desperate kind . One gentleman in this island , who had , I believe , about fifty running ulcers about his legs , arms , and body , who had tried all ether medicines before tho arrival of yours , but all of which did him no good ; butyours cured him in about six weeks , and he is now , by their mentis alone , quite restored to health and vigour . Loxdox Conx Exciiaxcb, Moxpay, Dec. 1.— ...
Loxdox Conx Exciiaxcb , Moxpay , Dec . 1 . — During the past week , up to Saturday evening , the arrivals of wheat of home produce for our market coastwise were on a very moderate scale ; but those ol English barley , oats , beans , peas , and flour wore father extensive , and of full average quality . Ol Irish and Scotch oats , as well as foreign wheat and oats , tbe receipts were tolerably good . From Esses and Kent the arrivals of wheat fresh . up this morning were far from extensive ; hence the show of samples , the largest portion of which wore considerably out oi condition , was by no means lav _^ o . The attendance of both town and country buyers was moderately good , and who purchased mast of tho finest qualities of both red and white , at , iu some instances , a shade
above the currencies obtained on this day sc uniglit . As this trifling advance was not general , our quotations remain as last advised . In the _middling nnd inferior kinds of wheat very little was doing , yet the holders were firm , and would not submit lo any deduction in the quotations . Except , therefore , for really fine parcels , the market c . osed anything but firm . The quantity of free _foi-ehm wheat brought forward was , comparatively speaking , small , but fully adequate to meet the wants of the millers , who purchased that article cautiously at about last week ' s prices . Wheat , under lock , was a mere drug ; while for all other grain there was scarcely any speculative inquiry . Large arrivals of barley having taken place , the show of __ samples of t ! i ? . _t _uva ' m was large , but at least two-thirds of them were of inferior quality .
Malting parcels sold readily at extreme quotations ; but all other kinds hung heavily on hand , though they cannot be considered _cheapar . Superfine white malt was in good request , and hist week ' s prices were well supported . In other qualities little doing . Notwithstanding the large arrivals of oats , several vessels having come in from Ireland since Saturday , there was a very steady trade with fine qualities at a tnrle more money . In tho middling and inferior parcels a good business was _doinc , and prices were well supported . The shew of beans being large , the demand ruled heavy at a decline in value of Is . to 2 s . per quarter , and a clearance was not effected . We had a very large quantity oi peas on the market , which sold slowly at a reduction in the quotations of from Is . to 2 s . per quarter . The flour trade was steady at previous fwures .
