THE LITTLE-ONE'S OWN COLOURED PICTURE PAPER is designed for the younger children , whose minds can be best reached by pictorial means , and especially by beautifully coloured pictures . Its pages are absolutely f illed with them , and they are printed in the best style of chromo-lithography , so as to amuse and instruct the young , and touch their hearts . Each Penny Number of THE LITTLE-ONE'S OWN COLOURED PICTURE PAPER contains from 12 to 16 Coloured Pictures on 4 quarto pages and has 4 pages of text . THE MONTHLY PAKTS , in a picture wrapper , price Sixpence each , contain from 56 to 70 Coloured Pictures , on from 16 to 20 quarto pages , with 16 to 20 pages of text . The first Part will be published May 30 th . In many cases a sin gle picture tells a complete story , and in no case do the necessary illustrations for that purpose extend beyond the two pages forming any one opening of the paper ; the endeavour being to enable the little ones to take in the picture and its story at a glance , and have nothing to weary or distract them .
