oyster shell in colour , inside which are leaves of particularly good sea-pieces ; a posy of buttercupsof violetsof meadow-sweetof
winter roses , , each with , gilt edges , verses , , and pretty pictures ; several varieties in pictorial covers , with plain and coloured
illustrations ; and * A Year of Golden Days , ' verses with appropriate little pictures , and space for MS . entries . ' The Birthday Wreath : a ' is a
booklet 6 by 5 inches , printed in tint poem , with , wellexecuted floral designs in colour . ' Onward , 'the
same size , is a Scripture text-book , with initial letters in sepia , and telling coloured illustrations . ' Bright Blossoms , ' ' Fair Flowers , ' ' Golden Leaves , '
' Love Lyrics , ' ' Snow Baby , ' and * Winter Jewels ' are booklets about 7 by 6 inches , of verses with pictures , in tasteful pictorial covers , with gilt ed . Of these' Winter Jewels ' distinguishes
itself ges by the style , of its illustrations , although they are not coloured ; the ' Snow Baby ' is
coloured and plain ; ' Love Lyrics ' consists of leaves of fine watermarked cardboard , on which are printed verses in tint , with artistic initial
letters , and mingled with pretty sprays , landscapes , and flowers ; the cover is especially tasteful , and even the stitching is of ribbon instead of
thread . Mr . Nister ' s new quarto books are ten in number—the 'ABC Book of Children ' s Names ;' ' Select Rhof Mother Goose' with humorous
