Security . — Those who effect Insurances with this Company are protected by its Subscribed Capital of 750 , 000 / ., of which nearly 140 . 000 J . is invested , from the risk incurred by members of Mutual Societies . The satisfactory financial condition of the Company , exclusive of the Subscribed and Invested Capital , will be seen by the following statement : — At the close of the last Financial Tear the sums Assured , including Bonus added , amounted to ^ 2 , 500 , 000 The Premium Fund to more than 800 , 000 And the Annuallncomefrom the same source , to 10 y , 000 Insurances , without participation in Profits , may be effected at reduced rates . EXAMPLES . 1000 ? . was paid to the Widow of J- G ., killed on the 24 th February , 185 S , secured by a payment of \ l . 350 ? . was paid to H- C . H J ., who had his leg broken on the Slst Aug ., 1 & 58 , secured by a payment of II . 2001 . was paid to W . P ., severely injured on the 19 th September , 1854-, secured by a payment of 1 l . For the convenience of frequent travellers , Periodical Insurances are granted ., which now cov « r the risk of Fatal Accidents while travelling in any class carriage on any Railway in the Uuited Kingdom or on the Continent of Europe , and insure Compensation for Personal Injury in any Railway Accident in the United Kingdom only . To Insure 1000 / . at an Annual Premium of 20 s . Ditto 200 / . ditto Gs . Insurances can also be effected securing the same advantages for terms of five or ten years , or for the whole of life , at greatly reduced rates , which may bo learned from the Company's Prospectus , to bo had at the Offices , and at allthe principal Railway Stations . A new class of insurance has also been established in case of Death by Railway Accident alone , without compensation for Injury . To Insure 1000 J . at an Annual Premium of 5 s . Ditto any sum not exceeding 1000 / . for the whole of 1 life by a ' single payment of Cs . per cent .: thus one payment of 8 / . will secure 1000 / .
