Temporary Office—No . 3 , Bridge-street , Westminster . TRUSTEES . Colonel Salwey . M . P ., Ef * ham-park , Surrey . James Harmer , Esq ., Ingress-park , Greenhithe , Kent . This Company is formed for the purpose of working a Coal Field , situate in the Forest of Dean . Gloucestershire , and held by the present Proprietors under a grant direct from the Crovvn , comprising an area of about one hundred and fifty Acres , and contains five Seams of Coal , of fifteen feet in thickness , throe of which it is proposed to work , which will produce upward * of three million and a half Tons of Coal . One of the Scams alluded to produces Cannel Coal , of which there is a large consumption in the Gas Works of London and other places . The other two 8 eaing are already in greatdemand , both in the Provincial and Foreign Markets ; large quantities being consumed by the Steam Engines of West Glouoenterslnre , the Cotton Mills and Gas Works of Bristol , and the Iron Furnaces of the surrounding districts . Immense Bupp li «» iiro shipped from Lydney , under the well-known title of "I'orest Wall ' s End "—a coal equal in quality to the best Newcastle . Specimen * of the various Seams of Coal from the Forest of Dean have bceu sent to the Exhibition in Hyde-park by Mr . Atkinson , one of her Majesty ' s Deputy Gaveller * of the rorent . The nature and capabilities of this Coal Field have long been known , and , in the immediate neighbourhood , made available . Hitherto , the want of Railway Communication has kept the productions of this Field out of tho London Market . The difficulty of transport is now obviated ; a Branch of the Great Western Uailway , six miles in extent , is about to be carried throug h tjil » very Coal Field , and will pats close to the intended lit * Mouth .
