BEWARE OF DANGEROUS IMITATIONS . Sufferers are earnestly cautioned against dangerous imitar tions of these Pills by youthful , recently-started ten-shilling quacks , who assume the title of Doctor , forge testimonials , and dare to infringe the proprietors right , by advertising a spurious compound under another name , the use of which can only bring annoyance and disappointment . PAINS TN THE BACK , GRAVEL , RHEUMATISM , GOUT , LUMBAGO , INDIGESTION , DEBILTTY , & c . & c . DR . DE ROOS' COMPOUND RENAL PILLS have , in many instances , effected a cure when all other means had failed , and are acknowledged by the faculty as the only safe remedy for the above dangerous complaints , and diseases of the Kidneys , and organs therewith connected , generally , resulting from whatever cause , which , if neglected , frequently end in stone in the bladder , and a lingering death ! It is an established fact that most cases of Gcut and Rheumatism occurring after middle age are combined with these diseases ; how necessary is it , then , that persons thus afflicted should at once attend to these important matters . By the salutary action of these Pills on acidity of the stomach , they correct Bile and Indigestion , purify and promote the Renal secretions , thereby preventing the formation of Stone , and establishing for life a healthy performance of the functions of these organs . May be obtained through all medicine venders in the kingdom , at Is . ljd ., 2 s . 9 d ., 4 s . 6 d ., and 1 la ., per box : or should any difficulty occur they will be sent free , Avithfull instructions for use , on receipt of the price in postage stamps , by Dr . De Roos . Testimonials , to test the genuineness of which Dr . De Roos solicits enquiry from the persons themselves : — Robert Johnson , Ludlam-street , Bradford—" Your valuable pills have so improved my friend in Scotland , that he has solicited me to send him another box , as he feels assured that it will cure him ; you can use our names as you think proper , that others suffering may be convinced of their value . —Direct to Mr . John Farquhar , Weaver , & c , Kinross , Scotland . " Mr . J . Higham , Burwell— "I am happy to say that the person , though he has taken only one box , is a wonderful deal better , and will recommend them to any one so suffering . CURES FOR THE UNCURED I HOLLO WAY'S OINTMENT . —An extraordinary Cure of Scrofula or Kino ' s Evil . Extract of a Letter from Mr . J . II . Alliday , 209 , High-street ,, Cheltenham , dated the 22 nd of January , 1850 . "To Professor Holloway . " Si it , —My eldest son , when about three yours of age . was afflicted with a Glandular Swelling in the neck , which , after a short time , broke out into an Ulcer , An eminent medical man pronounced it as a very bad case of Scrofula , and prescribed for a considerable time without effect . The disease then for four years went on gradually increasing in virulence , when , besides the ulcer in the neck , another formed below tho left knee , and a third under the eye , besides seven others on the left arm , with a tumour betwnen the eyes , which was expected to Itrcak . During the whole of the time my suffering boy had received the constant advice of the most celebrated medical Gentlemen at Cheltenham , besides being for several months at the General Hospital , where one of the Surgeons said that he would amputate the left arm , but that tho blood was so impure that , if that limb were taken off , it would be then even impossible to subdue the disease . In this desperate state I determined to give your Pills and Ointment a trial , and , after two months' perseverance in their use , the tumour gradually began to disappear , and the discharge from all the ulcerB perceptibly decreased , and at the expiration of eight months they were perfectly healed , and the boy thoroughly restored to the blessings of health , to the astonishment of a largo circle of acquaintances , who could testify to the truth of this miraculous case . Three years havo now olapsed without any recurrence to the malady , and the boy is now as healthy as heart can wish , Under thuBO circumstances I consider that I . should bo truly ungrateful were I not to make you acquainted with this wonderful cure , effected by your medicines , after every other means had failed .
