DR . DE JONGH'S LIGHT BROWN COO LIVER OIL , PREPARED for MEDICINAL USE in the LOFFODEN ISLES , NORWAY , and put to the test of Chemical Analysis . npHIS pure and unadulterated , transparent , light JL brown Cod Liver Oil , long known and justly appreciated on the Continent , has now acquired the general con ? fidenco of tho Medical Profession in this country , by whom it has been extensively and successfully prescribed , and with almost immediate and remarkably beneficial results—in many instances where ordinary Cod Liver Oil had been copiously , though ineffectually , administered . It owes its superior otflcacy not only to its method of preparation , but to tho fact—clearly established by chemical analysis and therapeutic experiments—that tho liver of tho species of cod fish from which it is exclusively procured naturally contains a larger quantity of iodine , of the elements of tho bile and other essential remedial properties , than is found in other kinds of the genus gadub . It is of tho finest quality , freo from any admixture , or tho usually repulsive , sickly , and nauseous flavour , or after-taste of tho Palo Oils , or of the coarse Brown Oil , commonly sold , though totally unfit for medicinal purposes . Being sold by iMPEnrAX . Measure it is as low in price per ounce as any other genuine Cod Liver Oil , whilst its regular and speedy affects render it incalculably cheaper . Medical and Scientific Testimonials of tho highest character delivered or forwarded , gratis , on application to Dr . do Jongh ' s Sole Agents and Consignees , ANSAR , HARFORD . and CO ; , 77 , 8 TBAND , London , by whom tho Oil is sold wholesale and retail , in bottles capsuled and labelled with Dr . de Jongh ' s stamp and signature , and in the countuy by respectable Chemists and Vendors of . C-QBN MARKET . ~ '•' ¦ Mark Lane , Friday Evening , Feb . 16 , 1855 The arrivals of all Grain , Foreign and . English , during the present week have been quite trifling " . The ^ weatner continues , sejrexe ,, and-the water communication with , the country isTjatte closed . Tinder these circumstances the- de-TDancf for Foreign Wheat for the country has almost entirely ceased , and the London millera confine their-purchases to . the smallest possible quantities for the supply of their immediate wants at about the same prices as last week . A cargo of Saidi Wheat arrived has been sold at 48 s . 6 d ., and one of Beheira at 40 s . cost , freight , and insurance . The continuance of severe weather has prevented any business for immediate shipment from the Baltic ports and there appears no disposition to ¦ enter into transactions for the spring , notwithstanding which prices there remain firm , and supplies moderate . The French markets have mostly given way to a small extent during the week . Barley continues rather to decline in value on the spot , -and-there is-no- demandfor cargoes -f .-o .-b—Two . cargoesof Alexandria arrived have been sold at 22 s . 6 d . and 23 s . cost freight , and insurance . Oats . —Buyers hold off in expectation of the Irish supply , most of the late arrivals of Foreign having been disposeaof— the prices of last week arefully maintained . Beans and Peas meet a limited demand without alteration in value . The returns of quantities sold in the various markets of Great Britain in the week ending February 10 , are Wheat , 91 , 223 quarters . Barley , 91 , 370 quarters , Oats , 18 , 068 quarters —against Wheat , 64 . 1 SL quarters , Barley , 84 , 880 quarters , Oats , 20 , 275 quarters in the corresponding week last year . It has been notified by the Government that the blockade of the Danube will be abandoned ; but while the Russians have possession of the'fortresses on the Bessarabian eide of the river , we cannot believe they will permit the exportation of grain even in neutral vessels * while thoy prohibit it from their own ports . At this day ' s market the attendance is again scanty , and the trade imprecisely the same stato as on Monday .
