Art . L An Exposition of the Historical Writings of the New Testament ^ -with Reflections subjoined to each Section . By the late Rev . Timothy Kenrick . With Memoirs of the Author . 3 vols . Royal 8 vo . Price 2 k 2 s . Longman and Co .
That the gospel is so partially received as the rule of life , may
be , in no small degree , ascribed to an injudicious and absurd method of investigating its records . It has too long been usual to enter upon the study of thcr Scriptures , with a desire of accommodating

Exposition , and variations from it arc distinguished by Italic characters and inverted commas ; the additions to it , in the form oi glosses , &c . being in Italics , but without inverted commas . l » £
work is divided into sections , a short commentary is subjoined to every verse , which seemed to require illustration , and oaca section closes witfi * uch practical
