Died , May 20 th , in his 61 st year , Mr . William Dennis , of Northampton . He was blest with religious parents , and imbibed a spirit of piety in early life . On his removal to London , about the age of manhood , he embraced warml y the doctrines of Calvinism .

Being fond of reading and of re . tired habits , he continued to the end of life his researches into di ^ vine truth , finding his-reward in the attainment of just , rational and scriptural views of the Being providence and grace of God , and often expressing ihc comfort and
happiness he derived from them though he felt at times with pecul liar sensibility , the degree of odium to which a change of sentiment subjects ihe determined enquirer
after truth . Nevertheless , he persevered in his course , through " evil report and good report .- " ^ he did not obtrude his religious opinions upon others , yet when fairly called upon , he did not fail to state them
with sincerity , and support them by argument . He had not enjoyed in his youth the advantage of a liberal education , but a vigorous mind and great application " sup . plied the defect , and his judicious and acute remarks , and sprightly sallies of fancy , afforded pleasure
and entertainment to his small circle of friends . He preserved through life , a devout reverence to
God , was just and sincere to man , exemplary in his own deportment , and filled up the relations of husband , father and relative , in a manner that will be the continued source of gratitude and affectionate remembrance . R , D .
