ALL MAY BE CURED !' . BY HOLLOWAY'S OINTMENT . FIFTY ULCERS CURED IN SIX WEEKS . EXTRACT of aLetterfrom John Martin , Esq ., Chronicle Office , Tobago , West Indies : — February 1 th , 1845 . To Professor Holloway . Sir , —I beg to inform you that the inhabitants of this island , especially those who cannot afford to employ medical gentlemen , are very anxious of having your astonishing medicines within their reach , from the immense benefits some of them have derived from their use , as they have been found here , in several cases , to cure sores and ulcers of the most malignant and desperate kind . One gentleman in this island , who had , I believe , about fifty running ulcers about his legs , arms , and body , who had tried all other medicines before the arrival of yours , but all of which did him no good ; but yours cured him in about six weeks , and he is now , by their means alone , quite restored to health and vigour . ( Signed ) John Martin .

BLAIR'S GOUT AMD RHEUMATIC PILLS . A severe case of Rheumatism , communicated by Mr . AlUu , Proprietor of the Nottingham Mercury . Mercury Office , Nottingham , March 17 , 1845 . Sib , —I have the pleasure of forwarding you the particulars of a case in which BLAIR'S GOUT and RHEUMATIC PILLS have proved eminently successful . A young woman , named Mary Wain , accompanied by her parents , who reside at Watnall , near this town , called upon me on Saturday last , being desirous of making her case known for thc benefit of the public . It appears that Mary Wain had for some years past been a great sufferer from Rheumatism , but that in October last she was more than ordinarily afflicted , so

ABERNETIIY'S PILE OINTMENT . WHAT a painful and noxious Disease is the PILES , and comparatively how few of the aftUeted have been permanently cured by ordinary appeals to medical skill , This , no doubt , arises from the us . . - of powerful aperients too frequently administered by the profession ; indeed , strong internal medicine should always be avoided in all cases of this complaint . The Proprietor of the above Ointment , after years of acute suffering , placed himself under the treatment of that eminent surgeon , Mr . Abernethy , —washy him restored to perfect health , and has enjoyed it ever since without the slightest return of the disorder , over a period of fifteen years , during which time thc same Abernethian prescription has been the means of healing a vast number of desperate cases , both in and out of the Proprietor ' s circle of friends , most of which cases had been under medical care , and some of them for a considerable time , ABEUNETUY'S PILE

OINTMENT was introduced to the public by the desire of many who had been perfectly healed b y its application - and since its introduction , the fame of this Oint ! ment hue spread far and wide ; even thc Medical Pro . fession , always slow and unwilling to acknowled ge the virtues of any medicine not prepared by themselves do now freely and frankly admit that ABERNETIIY'S PILE OINTMENT is not only a valuable preparation , but a never-failing remedy in every stage and variety of that appalling malady . Sufferers will not repentgiving the OINTMENT a trial , Multitudes of cases of its efficacy mieht be produced , if the nature of the complaint did not render those who have been cured unwilling to publish their names .

BAUTION!—Unprincipled individuals prepare the most spurious compounds under the same names ; they ttopy the labels , bills , advertisements , and testi * monials of the original Messrs . Howard and Thomas ' s Succedaneum . It is , therefore , highly necessary to see that the words " Howard and Thomas" are on the wrapper of each article . All others are fraudulent imitations . -Spinner, Resiamg At Ancoates, Mancheste...
-spinner , resiamg at Ancoates , Manchester , had been asthmatical for these last three years ; he was frequently so bad , tnat when rising from his bed he could scarcely speak or breathe , and would cough and spit for half-an-hour together , and often expected he would be choked . He was much reduced in strength , and alter every other means of cure failed he used these wonderful pills , which have removed every symptom of asthma , and he is now as free from it as wnen he was a child .
Ihe late lamented Earl Spencer is stated by tho Lancaster Gazette to hiive died in consequence of the gout having receded from his lordship ' s foot , and attacked a vital organ , rendering unavailing all the efforts of his medical attendants . This is the second member of the aristocracy who has fallen a victim to this cruel disorder , a calamity which is the more to be deplored ; for had Blair ' s Gout and Rheumatic Pills been resorted to , every hope might have been entertained that those lives would have been spared , it being one of the essential qualities of this medicine to arrest in its progress the disease , and effectually to prevent its attacking any vital part .
Christian Liquors . —An American paper state ? ,-amidst a flourish of trumpets , that the Turks have given up opium , and taken to Christian liquors . This substitution appears to come under the category of those things designated " distinction without a difference . "
