ABERNETIIY'S PILE OINTMENT . WHAT a painful aud noxious Disease is the PILES , and comparatively how few of the afflicted have been permanently cured by ordinary appeals to medical skill . This , no doubt , arises from the us .- of powerful aperients too frequently administered by the profession ; indeed , strong internal medicine should always be avoided in all cases of this complaint . The Proprietor of the above Ointment , after years of acute suffering , placed himself under the treatment of that eminent surgeon , Mr . Abernethy , —was by him restored to perfect health , and has enjoyed it ever since without the slightest _ruturn of the disorder , over a period of fifteen years , during which time the same Abernethian prescription has been the

London Corn' Exchange, Monday, March 2.—...
London Corn' _Exchange , Monday , March 2 . — The result of the debate in the House of Commons having been pretty generally anticipated , had no marked effect upon our trade this morning ; some weeks must yet elapse before the measure can become law , and until then active business is scarcely to be looked for . Supplies of every description of grain were short last week , and there was but a moderate show by land-carriage samples this morning . Fine English white wheat was in request , and brought the extreme rates of Monday last , but all other descriptions sold but slowly at the currency of that day , and parcels effected in condition could not be quitted at all . The better qualities of foreign wheat in bond
continue to go on in retail to the millers , but beyond this there is no sale for the article . Barley was held tor more money , and the sales made were at something over last week ' s currency . Oats were heavy , but no material alteration in their value can be quoted siHce this day sc ' nnight . Beans , and white and maple peas , brought previous prices ; hog peas were Is . per qr . cheaper . In the absence of any _suoplics of importance , red clover seed continues to advance , and the quotations of this day week were exceeded to-day by quite 3 s . per cwt . White seed and trefoil go off more freely than they did , but as yet little improvement has taken place in the value of either .

PROVINCIAL CORN MARKETS . Rich . mo . to Com _Markkt , S & tvhday , Feb . 2 S . — We had a good supply of grain in our market to-day . Wheat sold from 5 s . 0 d . to 9 s . Od . ; oats , 2 s . 9 d . to 3 s . Sd . ; barley , 3 s . Cd . to 4 s . Od . ; beans , 4 s . 9 d . to 6 s . ( id ., per bushel . _Liveri'ooii , Mondat , Makcii 2 . —The supplies from Ireland during the week afford a fair quantity of wheat , but small of oats , oatmeal , flour , and Indian corn . Since last Tuesday , a lair business has been done in wheat , both to the town ' s dealers and on speculation , and a few lots of secondary Irish , new have been taken by the Yorkshire millers . On the whole , the trade has assumed an improved aspect , and prices have not receded ; in some instances , in _. deed , for the lower qualities , rather better rates have
been obtained . With a moderate demand for flour , both sacks and barrels have fully sustained previous quotations . Oats still find a limited sale , and prices are barely supported , but oatmeal has been held with much firmness , and the stock here at present being small , there are no sellers of the best Irish under 34 s . per 240 lbs . Barley has _beeu much depressed , and there is scarcely any sale for either malting or grinding samples at present . Egyptian beans have commanded a trifle advance . In peas no change of value , and we are almost without demand . The transactions under bond have been confined to a few hundred barrels of Western Canal flour at 27 s . per barrel , and a parcel of Indian corn at 31 s . per 4 S 0 lbs . Wakefield , Friday , _Fkis . 27 . —The supplies of all grain are liberal , and there are also a great many samples offering from vessels near at hand . We have an excessively dull trade in wheat to-day , and in some
instances even the finest samples sell at a decline of Is . per quarter , other sorts unsaleable . Fine barley sells at previous rates , common sorts at Is . per quarter lower . Beans rather cheaper . Oats and shelling sell at a trifling decline . Malt firm , and easy sale . Manchester , Saturday , Feb . 23 . —No alteration whatever can be said to have occurred in tho state of the trade since our last report , the transactions in all articles having continued on the merest retail scale , with a view to immediate consumption only , and without material variation in prices . There was but little business passing in wheat at our market this morning , but holders were _finn in requiring the rates of this day se ' nnight . Flour likewise met an exceedingly slow sale at previous rates . Oats were in limited demand , and Id . per 45 lbs . cheaper . The best descriptions of oatmeal were in fait request , and without change in value .
Birmingham , Wednesday . —During the present week tho transactions in wheat have not been extensive . Good dry ne wwheat supported its value , but damp parcels were neglected . Fine malting barley a better sale ; inferior unsaleable , except at low rates . English new beans in request at quite as much money , with a limited demand for foreign . Oats dull , and to effect sales , lower prices have been accepted . Newcastle , Tuesday . —Our market was largely supplied with wheat to-day from the coast , as all the vessels kept back by the lone continuance of nortUeily
winds have arrived together , but the shows of samples from the growers were moderate , and the sales proved very slow for the largest qualities , both of old aud new , at barely last Saturday ' s rates , whilst inferior descriptions were completely neglected . For barley , also , the trade ruled extremely dull , and the little business transacted was on rather lower" terms . In malt we had little or nothing passing . Rye fully supported its value , in consequence of the small quantity offering . Oats and other grain remained without any material change
