Steam-Boat Building on the Clyde . -Iu reference to the progress of the trade of steamboat building on the Clyde it is shown that in the year ending June , 1852 , the nunto and tonnage of isteamers engaged in traffic on the Clyde were 93 vessek , of 11 9 P 2 tons-the increase on regularly employed vessels on the river was 26 , and in tonage , 5 , 301 tons Bnt that gave no idea of the magnitude of the steamboat bnildi ^ and marine engine making .
