IT is to be hoped that one of the results of the fall of Lord Salisbury ' s Government will not be the shelving of the proposed
*—* * . Anew charter on the Copyright laws . All who have an interest in the welfare of the book
world were glad to see the announcement in the Queen ' s Speech to the effect that the
subject was to receive legislative attention—at no distant dateit was presumed- The reason
