a sufficient , guarantee for the learning and care which mark every portion of this admirable and monumental work . Jhe Levant yapp in
which the Variorum and tfie celebrated London . Editions of the Teacher ' s Bibles are bound is one of the many specialities of Messrs . Eyre &
Spottiswoode and is extremely handsome . The strength an _ d flexibility—which are greatly aided by the books being sewn with best silk—are remarkable
features ; the calf lining giving a delicate and superior finish to the series . We can imagine no more acceptable or useful gift to . a clergyman
or Sunday-school teacher than a copy of this Bible , in strong , flexible , and finished binding , and printed on opaque thin India paper so as to
render the book compact and light .

Messrs. Marcus Ward & Co; Are Bringing O...
Messrs . Marcus Ward & Co ; are bringing out some fresh stationery in tints suitable for use
with the new white ink which is at present so fashionable in certain quarters . They have just now thirty or forty dainty booklets also in preparation
, illustrative of Pickwick , Shakspeare ' s * Winter ' s Tale , ' & c . As usual , they have a number of Christmas and New Year Cards for the
forthcoming season , some of which are extremely happy "both in design and execution . We particularly like the monotint sketches at Oriel
House . Amongst other novelties is the patent unspillable inkstand , a very ingenious improvement on the familiar cone ink-bottle . It is got
up in a number of odd shapes , such as the pillar , grenade , dumb-bell , & c . The Oriel Photographic Scrap Albumwith linen-jointed
card-, board leaves , is another speciality which deserves
mention .
